Responding to Brompton Design District’s Perfectly Imperfect theme through a distinctive curatorial lens, the presentation creates a dialogue between bold contemporary voices and enduring craftsmanship, fine art and collectible design. It celebrates experimentation and the creative possibilities that emerge when diverse practices, perspectives and materials intersect.
The participating artists and designers are: Andu Masebo, Anoe Melliou, Apoli, Atelier Formenta, Atelier Moore x Camille Cabanes, Barnaby Lewis, Buchanan Studio, CJ Aslan, Completed Works, Cruda, Gast Studios, Jane Wright, Jesse Butterfield, Jude x Aya, Kelly Wearstler x ARCA, Kouros Maghsoudi, Marten Herma Anderson, Pannorammma, Paul Coenen, Phil Hale, Robin Hunter Blake, Thomas Cardiff, Wretched Flowers and Yaz_XL.
Studio Iron joins more than 150 designers and makers participating in Brompton Design District’s 2026 programme. Curated by British-Italian curator and gallerist Alex Tieghi-Walker, the programme runs from 12–20 September, bringing exhibitions, installations, events and product launches to spaces across the district.

Studio Iron
Isamaya Ffrench is a creative director, designer and curator whose work spans beauty, fashion, object design and contemporary culture. Originally trained in 3D design and product design at Chelsea College of Arts and Central Saint Martins, her practice has consistently explored the relationship between the body, materiality and transformation. Alongside founding her eponymous beauty brand, Ffrench has collaborated with leading global brands, artists and publications, developing a reputation for work that challenges traditional boundaries between art, design and commerce. Studio Iron is a concept store and gallery dedicated to a new era of design. Bringing together artists and designers distinguished by their rigorous relationship to craft, material intelligence and distinctive form. The works presented exist at the intersection of art, object and function, where use is not incidental but essential: function does not diminish expression, but completes it. Studio Iron exists to support work that is thoughtful, intentional and materially honest - objects that carry the imprint of the hand, the mind and the world from which they emerge.
