An Egg, A Vessel

This year at London Design Festival, Abid Javed studio invites industry professionals, collectors and design enthusiasts to witness a physical narrative of handmade design. Entitled ‘An Egg, A Vessel’, the exhibit reimagines the Clink Street Window Gallery in the heart of London Bridge as an imagined egg-shaped vessel with a cabinet of design display; A form which is biologically symbolic for new beginnings and fitting with emerging design philosophies. From the 12th of Sept – 20th of Sept., the exhibit showcases innovative lamp designs by cross-collaboration with two designers across disciplines and complemented with architectural ceramic vessels; A table lamp com (in collaboration with Sophie Sellu), a table lamp combining a stoneware ceramic with a richly tufted tapestry lamp shade (In collaboration with Bettina Willnauer) and a series of handmade ceramic vessels (Clink Street Ceramics).
