Galerie Chloé Perrin presents Intreccio, an exhibition of works by Armando Marrocco alongside a site-specific installation by Milan-based practice studioutte.
Meaning “interweaving,” Intreccio is the name Marrocco gave to a body of work developed in Milan in the early 1960s, in which sheets of cardboard are layered, woven and sealed beneath monochrome enamel. The series became central to his practice, transforming a modest material through accumulation, depth and repetition.
For the exhibition, studioutte founders Guglielmo Giagnotti and Patrizio Gola extend this idea into space through an installation combining Marrocco’s works with the studio’s own furniture and architectural elements. Though separated by generations, the two practices share an interest in restraint, craftsmanship and the relationship between material and construction.
The exhibition forms part of Galerie Chloé Perrin’s programme of revisiting significant yet under-recognised post-war artists in dialogue with contemporary architecture and collectible design.

About
studioutte
Established in 2020 by Guglielmo Giagnotti and Patrizio Gola, studioutte is a Milan-based multidisciplinary practice for interior architecture, decoration and collectible design. utte (hütte) /'hytә/ hut, hütte, small cabana, wooden cabin, shelter. The vision of studioutte is distinctly Italian yet an integrated, harmonious reality. Its hybrid design is composed of vernacular architecture research and influences across various regional practices. Through a clear, expressive approach that eludes reiterated and extreme elements, the aim is purity, a concentration into a primitive essence. A warm assertiveness meets an animistic devotion for objects and interiors. Reaching beyond the formality of simplicity, ideas are distilled into essential, poetic forms and spaces.
