Paris–Athens

Founded in 2022 by Jonathan Stene and Elena Alexopoulos, graduates of the École Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris, Stene Alexopoulos is a French-Greek architecture studio based between Paris and Athens. Inspired by the relationship between classical architecture and contemporary life in Athens, the studio has developed a refined language shaped by materiality, light and proportion. Marble, concrete, wood and stone form a recurring vocabulary, informed by Modernism, Brutalism and classical form. Through their interior projects, Stene and Alexopoulos began designing furniture as a natural extension of the architecture, with each piece responding to space, proportion and material. This approach has led to the studio’s debut furniture collection, translating its architectural principles into a new scale through sculptural forms, balanced proportions and craftsmanship. Rather than existing as autonomous objects, the pieces are designed to shape and inhabit space.
