On the occasion of Paris Design Week, Pli office presents DESIGN DISCO CLUB, a temporary exhibition at Lafayette Anticipations from 6 to 12 September 2025.

DESIGN DISCO CLUB aims to spotlight a new generation of designers and architects who are redefining contemporary creation.

Inspired by the free and vibrant energy of the disco movement, and more specifically the iconic 1976 song Disco Inferno, DESIGN DISCO CLUB celebrates design as a space for emotion, sharing, and freedom.

DESIGN DISCO CLUB is a manifesto for young creation at a time when our systems are searching for a second wind. Disco provides a fitting framework to rethink the relationship between industrial and human rhythms.

Bringing together the work of around forty emerging creators, the project explores our relationship with time: time that shapes our production rhythms, aesthetic choices, and commitments. Whether industrial, unique, or produced in series, the objects on display reflect a contemporary, multifaceted, and engaged creative scene, presented within a scenography by Paf atelier.

Among the artists, thinkers, and creators bringing this new kind of club to life are Uchronia, Soft Baroque, Samy Rio, Petite Friture, Lambert & Fils, François Azambourg, Fabien Cappello, Laurids Galée, Sashaxsasha, and Studio Poirier Bailay.

Also featured are textile artists and designers, as well as fashion houses such as Marine Serre, Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marie-Ève Lecavalier, and Mugler. Each will present emblematic pieces that bridge past and present, embodying the disco spirit: bold, proud, and defiant.

The exhibition is accompanied by a program of talks conceived by Christopher Dessus in collaboration with Isabelle Moisy-Cobti and the Fonds de Dotation Quartus, focusing on three main themes: architecture, design, and fashion. Here, the club becomes an invitation to collectively imagine the creation of tomorrow.
