Tropic of Capricorn

For Paris Design Week, Modern Metier presents Tropic of Capricorn, its second edited collection, created in collaboration with French designer Rudy Guénaire.

Presented within an immersive tropical scenography, the collection brings together seven pieces, including the Jet Set sofa and armchair, Avenue coffee table, Fleming chair, Monument wall light, Casca pendant lamp and Marimba mirror.

Guénaire draws on the optimism of the modern era, referencing the curving architecture of airport terminals, the sculptural landscapes of Brazil and California, and organic forms inspired by tropical flora. The result is a collection of hand-drawn, sculptural pieces that translates these influences into a contemporary interior language.
