At House of Icon, Design Shoreditch, emerging British designer Abid Javed unveils his new sculptural lighting collection. Abiogenesis: Vol. 1 reimagines forms from cellular life through hand-crafted ceramic table lamps with modular shades.
Abid crafts by hand in a variety of clay bodies, each piece pairs a ceramic base with a detachable shade, encouraging modularity and transformation. Soft light glows from within these fluid, organism-like forms, creating objects that blur the boundaries between art, design and science.
