Ceramic Odyssey 2126, presented by County Hall Pottery and co-curated by Jihyun Kim, is a speculative exhibition on view from March 17 to May 3, 2026, imagining what ceramic practice might become one century from now. Bringing together contemporary artists already pushing the material’s boundaries, the exhibition considers how ceramics could evolve within radically transformed ecological, technological, and biological systems, offering a shared speculative terrain in which questions of making, material behavior, and authorship can be rethought. Framed through a bio-futurist lens, the participating works extrapolate from existing artistic methodologies to blur distinctions between body, tool, and environment, positioning ceramics not as passive matter but as an active agent within experimental, unfinished, and open-ended future worlds.
