Born from the vision of Filippo and Alberico Brivio Sforza - it's crafted by celebrated Milanese architectural studio Matteo Thun & Partners with furniture by historic Italian brand Cassina Custom Interiors, infusing spaces with understated touches.
Nestled just between Torre Velasca and Colonne di San Lorenzo in the heart of the city, Casa Brivio is situated in two buildings from the 60’s and 70’s. Influenced by local architect and interior designer Luigi Caccia Dominioni's Rationalism - Thun's reinvention favors artisanal excellence, geometrical lines, contrasting textures over unnecessary frills.
Setting the stage for a journey through timeless elegance, its reception - an homage to Milan's legendary entranceways - will welcome you with Gio Ponti-inspired motifs. From wall boiserie to the decorative ceiling’s rhombus pattern. And echoing the pink terracotta exterior, a cream terrazzo flooring and lush tropical plants nod subtly to refined modernism. Adding to this are Cassina’s classics from its iMaestri Collection - Cicognino side table by Franco Albini and Lady armchairs by Marco Zanuso - affirming their enduring appeal. Luigi Caccia Dominioni’s Murano glass lamps for Azucena illuminate its original limestone-clad spiral staircases, whisking one up to their suites.

With rich jewel tones and stately floor-to-ceiling windows - there’s a cozy familiarity of quintessential modernist Milanese living that imbues every room. Outfitted by Cassina, each piece complements the intimate moody palette of dark green velvets, brass-toned aluminum, reinforced Viennese straw, exquisite fabrics, all complemented by a meticulously crafted lighting concept.

Every element marks a moment in the city’s design history, narrating a story that bridges tradition and modernity. From the armchair to the desk, dining table, nightstand, luggage rack and Bixia chair - a collaborative design by Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana for Cassina. Introduced for the first time, this stackable chair in black-stained ash wood embodies a seamless blend of fine craftsmanship and minimalist design.

Drawing inspiration from Portaluppi’s dichromatic touch, the bathrooms unfold in terrazzo - ivory and taupe grey underfoot - while ribbed glass doors adorned with Caccia Dominioni’s original Melanzana handles whisper of mid-20th-century Milanese grace.

Embracing the quiet charm of an apartment-like stay and stocked with pristine Acqua Chiarella water, there’s no on-site dining or room service yet - only the ease of trattorias and cafés just a short stroll away from its discreet doorstep. For breakfast, however, curated dining partnerships are available upon request. If you crave the comforts of room service, a pastel box from Marchesi 1824 - the city’s iconic pasticceria - arrives at your door brimming with pastries, fresh juice and sweet morning indulgences all beautifully wrapped. Or if you’re all about catching the morning’s fresh air, a short walk will bring you to Via Stampa Bistrot - a sleek French-inspired spot where full breakfasts are served with unforgettable flavor.
