Sebastian Gladstone Gallery is pleased to present Every Single Time, a two-person exhibition by G.V. Rodriguez and Bennet Schlesinger. A testament to friendship, artistic kinship, and the joy of making, the show brings together a body of new lighting and furniture works by Schlesinger and new paintings by Rodriguez.
This exhibition marks a full-circle moment for the artists and for Gladstone, whose very beginnings are rooted in these creative relationships. Long before the gallery’s founding, Schlesinger introduced Rodriguez’s work to Sebastian Gladstone through a set of blurry cellphone photos – an image that sparked a years-long dialogue and ultimately led to Rodriguez joining the gallery’s program. Schlesinger, too, was central to Gladstone’s early days, inaugurating the gallery’s first space, at the time in Los Angeles, with his sculptural lamps.
“Every Single Time is, at its core, a love letter – to the conversations we’ve shared over the years, to the trust we’ve built, and to the lives and practices that have grown together along the way,” says Sebastian Gladstone. “It’s rare to be able to present something so personal in a gallery context. Here, it feels not only fitting, but essential.”

About
Sebastian Gladstone Gallery
Sebastian Gladstone Gallery presents work by contemporary artists and overlooked historical figures, with a focus on material clarity, formal rigor, and long-term engagement. The program includes living artists alongside estates, often highlighting practices that have been under-recognized due to their resistance to categorization, quiet or restrained sensibilities, or deviation from dominant formal and critical trends of their time. With locations in Los Angeles and New York, the gallery maintains a measured approach to exhibitions, institutional placement, and publishing, prioritizing work that develops over time, both in its making and its reception
