Across the Sea

Marking its twentieth anniversary, Onishi Gallery presents Across the Sea, an exhibition bringing together ten leading practitioners of KOGEI, the Japanese art tradition defined by exceptional craftsmanship, material sensitivity, and the evolution of historic techniques into contemporary forms.

Spanning ceramics, metalwork, lacquer, and other media, the exhibition explores how artists across generations reinterpret inherited traditions through distinct contemporary practices, challenging conventional boundaries between craft and fine art.
