Designed by Acebal Canney Arquitectos & Asociados under the leadership of Mexican-Dominican architect Alejandro Acebal Canney, The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort redefines luxury through its embrace of organic forms and immersive experiences.
Departing from conventional centralized layouts, the design adopts a horizontal, asymmetrical approach inspired by the geometries of the adjacent Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course. This design choice results in staggered volumes and turning points that offer panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, cliffs, and greens, transforming each spatial transition into a unique discovery.

One of the resort's standout features is the reinterpretation of the traditional St. Regis Long Gallery. At Cap Cana, it manifests as a five-story atrium reminiscent of a cenote, complete with a cascading waterfall and a skylight that creates the illusion of water descending from the sky. Central to this space are the Dancing Stairs, a sculptural staircase connecting signature brand spaces in a visual crescendo.
Further anchoring the design in Dominican heritage, the traditional Cognac Room has been transformed into a Rum and Cigar Club, paying homage to the region's iconic exports. Throughout the resort, guests encounter thoughtfully designed corridors, panoramic lounges, and sculpted transitions, all meticulously crafted to ensure each space offers a memorable experience.
