Sonoma and Los Angeles-based multi-award-winning interior and architectural design firm, The Bureau (f. 2019), led by founder and creative director Sarah Giesenhagen, is pleased to invite you to their first hosted and produced group exhibition, Verdant Phenomena. Opening to the public on August 16th from 3-7pm, in Sonoma, California. The show will be open for four weeks by appointment Wednesday through Saturdays, until September 5th, Saturday.
Taking place within her home’s back garden, Giesenhagen invited over 13 artists and designers from the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area to produce new works in response to a unique setting for gathering and displaying, the home garden.
Verdant Phenomena showcases over 60 original hand-crafted pieces of furniture, objects, sculpture, and artworks. Each of the artists and designers responded to a sense of place via form, materiality, and concept within the boundaries and mediums of their crafts.

The Bureau
Based between California’s Bay Area and Los Angeles,The Bureau (f. 2019) is a multi-award-winning architectural and interior design studio founded and led by Sarah Giesenhagen. The studio, composed of a small team of specialists, works across multiple practice areas of workplace, commercial environments, hospitality, wineries, residential, and site-specific art and design exhibitions.
