Inspired by the Louvre and its collection of decorative arts, Harry Nuriev has been invited by the museum to create a collection of charms and objects in the spirit of the LOUVRE COUTURE exhibition. His creations are paired with striking and immersive imagery, set against the grand décors of the museum under a silver-toned glaze.
Playing with the idea of the museum "souvenir"—the trinkets, postcards, and small objects we take home—Nuriev has designed a range of memorabilia that captures the essence of a visit to the Louvre.
With humor and a flair for the unexpected, he transforms a chair, a chandelier, a candelabra, a table, a teapot, a sword, a vase, a mirror—all without regard to scale—enchanting them with his signature "silverization". Encased like jewelry or medals, these pieces become enigmatic objects, inviting new combinations, accumulations, and collections.
