High-Touch

MillerKnoll presents High‑Touch, a design‑history exhibition revealing the craft behind New York City’s famously restrained interiors. Curated by Luke Baker, the exhibition brings together—for the first time—the work of Ward Bennett and Joe D’Urso, two figures who helped shape the city’s modern interior language. Drawing from the MillerKnoll Archives and private collections, the show features furniture—including key works for Knoll and Geiger—alongside archival material and interior imagery that expose how these rigorously edited environments were built. Timed with the reissue of Phaidon's Ward Bennett monograph, High‑Touch offers a rare look at five decades of hands‑on design rooted in customization, material intelligence, and comfort.
