The Mechanics of Scent: Exhibition

Within a culture saturated with the visual, a presentation focused on scent—that must be experienced in person—expands what we consider part of domestic space. As we question the norms of design for the home, we are reminded that we live by our senses every day, and scent is architectural whether we can see it or not.

Each sculpture is a collaboration between FRAMA and artist David Gardner, in tandem with vintage furnishings and decor that consider how this space would really be lived in—not only set up to view.
