Saint Laurent and Anthony Vaccarello present an exclusive collaboration with Charlotte Perriand on the occasion of Milan Design Week.
“Saint Laurent-Charlotte Perriand” will showcase four exceptional furniture designs by Perriand, dating from 1943 to 1967. The Perriand designs selected by Vaccarello existed only as prototypes or sketches until now. Saint Laurent has carefully reproduced and reissued them in limited editions.
Perriand originally created three of the pieces for her own homes around the globe (‘Bibliothèque Rio de Janeiro’ and ‘Fauteuil Visiteur Indochine’) and for a diplomat’s residence in Paris (‘Canapé de la Résidence de l'Ambassadeur du Japon’). Known to date only from a small maquette on Perriand’s desk, the ‘Table Mille-Feuilles’ has been produced in full scale for the first time as part of this collaboration, making its debut public appearance at Milan Design Week.
The partnership between Saint Laurent and Charlotte Perriand is the latest example of the House’s ongoing commitment to heritage, aimed to bring important artifacts of design culture—previously hidden in inaccessible collections—to a wider audience. It also honors Yves Saint Laurent’s admiration for Perriand’s work, whose pure modernity echoed his own creations. He collected her designs throughout his life, while Pierre Bergé supported important global retrospectives of her work.
“Saint Laurent-Charlotte Perriand” will be on view from April 8 – 13 at the Padiglione Visconti in Milan.
Each limited-edition piece will be available on a made-to-order basis.

On the project’s occasion, the Saint Laurent Editions kiosk on Piazza San Babila will carry a special volume of Perriand’s visionary photographs as well as a catalogue of the new furniture collection.
Coinciding with the Milan exhibition, selections of Perriand’s photography will be on view at two Saint Laurent retail locations in Paris: Saint Laurent Babylone (April 9 – May 4) and Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris (April 8 – May 7).
