RITUS, RITUALS OF A CONTEMPORARY WORLD EXHIBITION by Unno Gallery presents a contemporary version of the narrative envisioned by their ancestors’ ritual practices. An Introspection that leads to the creation of a surrounding that embodies one’s empire and in return, the manifestation of our power within; facilitated through sacred objects to evoke ownership of power, rooted in tradition. Casa Ortega, Luis Barragan ́s best-kept secret in Mexico City was chosen by Maria Dolores Uribe and Laura Abe Vettoretti, gallery founders, as the canvas of this exhibition. Unno Gallery selected this garden-house to uncover another layer of the expression of their vast roots along with the introspective architecture from the most important Mexican master. During Zona Maco frame, Unno Gallery will showcase Deceres Studio, presenting their complete collection, pseudonym of the exhibition, Ritus. The collection will be presented “levitating on a reflection”. A newly represented artist will be introduced as part of the gallery, Estudio Persona, design duo from Uruguay, founded by Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young. The exhibition will also present an art installation inspired by Barragan ́s nature frames by the invited artist Alberto Oderiz.
