NOMAD, the travelling showcase for collectible design and art founded by Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, will launch its first U.S. edition in the Hamptons from 25–28 June 2026 at The Watermill Center, the experimental arts centre founded by Robert Wilson. This Hamptons edition marks both NOMAD’s debut in the U.S. and the first time The Watermill Center will host an art and design fair.

Since its founding in 2017, NOMAD has become internationally recognised for rethinking the traditional fair model through its highly curated, site-specific, and nomadic approach. Across previous editions, it has brought together leading galleries, designers and artists within exceptional architectural settings, from a former clinic in St. Moritz and a historic villa in Monaco to a 15th-century palazzo in Venice, an ancient monastery in Capri and a decommissioned airport in Abu Dhabi.

Set across The Watermill Center’s buildings and surrounding grounds, the fair will feature presentations spanning collectible design, contemporary and modern art, fine jewellery, and one-of-a-kind objects, with participating galleries including The Future Perfect (New York, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco), Todd Merrill Studio (New York), Tristan Hoare (London), Gallery FUMI (London), Maison Gerard (New York), Leila Heller Gallery (Dubai, New York), J. Lohmann Gallery (New York), Jeff Lincoln Art&Design (Southampton), among many others.

Special Projects will include the second iteration of Giorgio Armani / Unveiled curated by Abby Bangser, alongside a new collaboration between Sisley Paris and Hamptons-based artist Sydney Albertini around her Botanical Series. Mathieu Lehanneur (New York, Paris), Silvia Furmanovich (São Paulo), and Object & Thing (New York) will also conceive special projects for this part of the programme.

About

NOMAD

Conceived by Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, NOMAD establishes a unique dialogue between art, architecture and design in a very personal context. It speaks to those, who are looking for a different experience from the one found among large-scale fairs. Within the refined historical interiors of Chesa Planta in St. Moritz, the grand rooms of Villa La Vigie in Monaco or Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel Palazzo in Venice, up to 4000 international high-networth visitors attended each edition of NOMAD in the last three years. Every showcase lasts four to five days, access is limited. In addition to the main event, NOMAD boasts a distinguished VIP programme, consisting of talks by prominent designers and artists, architect led tours of local landmarks, and invitations to private homes or collections that inspire visitors and participants alike and allow for spending rare moments with new acquaintances, future colleagues and old companions.
