1 + 1 = 3

Adorno is pleased to announce the launch of “1 + 1 = 3”, a collection created in collaboration with Southern Sweden Design Days showcasing a selection of new work from ten designers and studios in the event’s inaugural year. Organised by Form/Design Center, the annual event held in Malmö, Sweden, highlights sustainability, collaboration, development, and innovation in design. This year’s theme, as described by the event organisers, “encourages collaborations and cross-fertilization with the aim of highlighting the region’s openness and locality”. This colourful collection does just that, featuring a range of work - in glass, ceramic, stone, wood, and reclaimed materials - which has been developed collaboratively, reflects on sustainability through locally available materials, and focuses on small-scale production. Together, they present a vision of this unique aspect of the larger Swedish design scene.
