From Wednesday 10 to 14 November, the long-awaited fifth Ghent Light Festival will once again light up the city. The first edition was held ten years ago.
32 light art installations to Ghent, which will be put on display at a total of 35 locations. Four of them are the public's favourites from the past 10 years, which will return in a slightly changed form.
7,2 km route
The fifth edition of the Light Festival Ghent should have taken place last year, but the Covid-19 pandemic threw a spanner in the works. The free festival will now be organised from Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 November 2021 and will be well worth the wait with an exciting 7.2 km route. Visitors will not only pass by tourist hotspots like Sint-Michielsbrug bridge but will also discover lesser known locations like Prinsenhof, Macharius-Heirnis and Sluizeken-Tolhuis-Ham.
