Bower Studios Presents BODY LANGUAGE

Bower Studios is pleased to present BODY LANGUAGE, a group exhibition opening May 19, 2026 at the Bower/Mociun showroom in Williamsburg. The show will remain on view through June 27, 2026. Bringing together more than fifteen artists and designers working across furniture, lighting, sculpture, painting, photography, ceramics, and fine jewelry,

BODY LANGUAGE explores the instinctive ways individuals communicate through movement, gesture, and form. The exhibition considers how objects can mirror the subtle cues one attunes to and embodies – how material, silhouette, and surface can suggest emotion, presence, sensuality, and memory without relying on language itself. Participating artists and designers include Alexis & Ginger, Danny Giannella and Tammer Hijazi of Bower Studios, Caitlin Mociun, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, Chris Wolston, David Benjamin Sherry, Drew Seskunas, Farrah Sit, Ian Collings, Joel Siegle, Francesca de Giorgi of Nassi Lamps, Nick van Woert, Pat Kim, Patrick Weder, Paul Wackers, Robin Francis Williams, and Terry Powers.

Throughout the presentation, anthropomorphic references and bodily associations exist in both direct and abstract ways. Furniture adopts the qualities of living forms; lighting hints at movement and intimacy; and artworks signal towards the emotional and symbolic weight carried by physical expression. Humor, sensuality, and distortion are present throughout the show, creating a playful dialogue between the works.
