Mueble Escultura is a curatorial project that explores the intersections between artwork and design object. Created in 2022 by Cinthia Kazez and Lucila García de Onrubia, this initiative has grown exponentially through group exhibitions in both independent spaces and cultural institutions.
Since its first editions at El Yeite (2022) and Espinosa Estudios (2023), Mueble Escultura has managed to build an ecosystem in which talents from diverse backgrounds and disciplines coexist. With the third edition, within the framework of the opening of Malba—Puertos museum (2024), the project consolidates its presence in the contemporary art circuit.
Through research processes and open calls, it has presented, to date, the work of more than 70 Argentine artists and designers, creating a valuable space for exchange, reflection and dissemination of local production. Now, in its fourth edition, in collaboration with BARRO, Mueble Escultura continues its exploration and expands it by incorporating historical pieces to its contemporary selection, offering a panorama of narratives that cross diverse temporalities, fields of work, languages and poetics.
